The
Archies debutant, Suhana Khan, celebrates her 26th birthday today, May 22, 2026. With a career-defining project ahead - King alongside her father Shah Rukh Khan - Suhana is expected to take a giant leap in her career, more so after after her debut film could not live up to the expectations. When The Archies had released back in 2023, SRK, who has quietly watched her from being a winner of the Russell Cup for exceptional drama at Ardingly College, England, to her acting debut with a Netflix film, had taken to social media to pen a special post for her daughter.
'You are never going to be perfect...' What SRK said about Suhana's debut
When Zoya Akhtar's
The Archies, which featured Suhana as Veronica Lodge in the fictional Anglo-Indian hill town set in the 60s, made its announcement, SRK shared the first look with a note that seemed more like coming from an experienced peer than a father.Sharing the first look, he wrote, "And remember @suhanakhan2, you are never going to be perfect….but being yourself is the closest to that. Be kind and giving as an actor….the brickbats and applause are not yours to keep….the part of you that gets left behind on screen will always belong to you….u have come a long way, baby….but the road to people’s hearts is unending…..stride forth and make as many smile as you can. Now let there be Light….Camera and Action! Signed Another Actor."
His choice of signing off the post as 'Another Actor' suggested that his advice had come as an experienced peer and not as a father. Suhana's debut performance received mixed reviews from critics and fans alike. While some praised her performance in
The Archies as that of a seasoned actor, others called her performance borderline lazy, suggesting more prep before the big screen show.
SRK did not react to any of the reviews, staying consistent with his statement on not interfering with her space.
