So if you are someone who often travels to unknown locations or forgets to pick up calls from family, then here is how you can share your live location with your family. Step 3: Under this icon, you'll see multiple options to share contacts, documents and location. Step 4: Click on the location. Step 5: Click on 'share live location'.

Sharing locations via Google Maps allows you to share your live location with those who are not on WhatsApp. It allows you to share your location with people on Instagram, Telegram, and Gmail, and you can also share it with other devices, which unfortunately is not possible with WhatsApp. You can also adjust the time under maps for your location sharing from 1 hour to 2 hours, or you can click on the 'until you turn the feature off' option. This will allow you to turn off the live location only when you want it. Under the WhatsApp terms and conditions, you can only share your live location with a user; this cannot be forwarded by you or by the user.
