According to the report, Main Hoon Na 2 was said to be in the scripting stage. While Shah Rukh is busy with King, which releases on Christmas 2026, Farah is ruling YouTube with her cooking vlogs featuring her cook, social media sensation Dilip.

Farah Khan reacts to Main Hoon Na sequel rumours

Amid buzz around Main Hoon Na 2, Farah confirmed to ETimes that the rumour is false. She urged people not to believe in what’s being speculated. The filmmaker also put speculations about Shah Rukh’s double role in the sequel. A Pinkvilla report claimed that Main Hoon Na 2 would have a fun and emotional tone. Taking the story forward, a new national threat would be introduced to make it relevant for today’s generation. With humour and action, best done by Farah, the makers reportedly planned to bring back iconic characters played by Zayed Khan, Amrita Rao, Sushmita Sen, and Suniel Shetty.

The report further revealed that Farah was planning a double role for Shah Rukh, giving him the chance to play around with different emotions and expressions. Aakash Kaushik has been credited as the writer of the sequel. The report also stated that Farah was supposed to take the script to Shah Rukh for narration around mid-2026.

Zayed Khan's exclusive statement on Main Hoon Na 2

On Main Hoon Na’s 21st anniversary in 2025, Zoom spoke to Zayed, who played one of the leads and Shah Rukh’s brother, Lucky/Laxman. The actor recalled fond memories from the sets and revealed how the superstar taught him unforgettable life lessons. When asked about Main Hoon Na 2, he said, “I have been hearing the same rumours, but there is only one man who can answer this question and that's Shah bhai. Having said that, I think it will be one of the most anticipated sequels ever.”

Main Hoon Na is about Major Ram Prasad Sharma, who gets an opportunity to reunite with his estranged family, including his stepmother and stepbrother. While rekindling relationships, he has to protect Sanjana, the daughter of the army chief, from the potential threat posed by Raghavan, an ex-army officer. He goes to Darjeeling for both purposes.
