The Town of Moncks Corner, along with its Council and staff, also shares its deepest sympathy. He was not only an entertainer to the community, but also a friend, and his loss is deeply felt.
Dylan Carter's non-profit expresses grief
Carter also co-founded a non-profit in his community called The Local Voice. It helped women fighting breast cancer. She performed at fundraisers for the charity.“With heavy hearts we share the passing of Dylan Carter, co-founder of The Local Voice, talented musician, and someone who meant so much to our community,” the non-profit wrote on Facebook. The non-profit also wrote that Dylan was the heart of what they do and he believed every voice matters and lived that every day. Through his music, his kindness, and his smile, he brought people together and made everyone feel seen. "A proud Lowcountry native, Dylan also owned Sunny Days RV & Campground and worked as a realtor, always helping others find a place to belong. We are heartbroken, but find comfort knowing he is in heaven with his mother," they wrote.
The non-profit expressed deep gratitude for Dylan, acknowledging the love he shared with the community and the lasting impact he made. It added that his light will be carried forward and that this work will continue in his honor. The organization also asked that everyone keep his family in their thoughts and prayers as they cope with this irreparable loss in the coming weeks.
