His message began with the words, “Bison Kaalamaadan: another diamond in Mari Selvaraj’s crown!”Stalin went on to praise the filmmaker’s ability to tell meaningful stories, writing, “He has faithfully and heart-warmingly transformed the life of a young man who set out from his village to achieve success into a touching screen experience.”The Chief Minister further added, “Every film by Mari Selvaraj has a sharp message. For the unversed,Bison tells the inspiring story of a young man from a rural background who dreams of overcoming social challenges through the sport of kabaddi. The movie is inspired by the life of Arjuna Award-winning kabaddi player Manathi Ganesan from Thoothukudi.
