Gong Seung-Yeon shared that she became desperate to prove herself and constantly requested her agency to send her to auditions. She even wrote letters to casting directors in hopes of getting selected for projects.

However, she added that as the eldest child, she also felt intense pressure to succeed first and support the family.“But I also harbored the oldest child’s mindset of ‘I have to do even better,’” she said.The actress further explained that her mother also hoped her eldest daughter would become successful and help guide the younger siblings forward.
