Mallika Prasad on powerful films like Mardaani 3
While taking to us, Mallika Prasad gave a striking comparison on depicting series roles in a film and its way to change how the society sees women. She explained, "I think it goes a very long way in terms of creating an awareness and hopefully a conversation. But will it change society? I think that's putting a very big burden on actors and the process of making film. I think it's very important to keep your political compass strong, to say the things that are meaningful, that you feel are truthful, and put it out there. And not ban them or something like that."
She further added that films are not saviours but they do create a platform for awareness saying, "Have important, sensitive things that you can actually say and put it out to people for them to think about because films are not saviors. It's every person on the street, when we get out of here and go out there, how we turn up, that's what's going to change the world, which when we make changes in our behavior is when we find change outside. I think films create a great platform for conversation and awareness."
