Imagine
two of the biggest comedy films of 2026, both part of blockbuster franchises, releasing in theatres just one week apart. That was the situation with Ajay Devgn’s Dhamaal 4 and Akshay Kumar’s Welcome To The Jungle. However, the two superstars have now reportedly decided to give each other space at the box office. If reports are to be believed, Dhamaal 4 and Welcome To The Jungle will no longer clash in theatres. Instead of competing against each other, Ajay and Akshay reportedly chose to prioritise the success of both films. Here’s everything to know about the special deal between the actors.
Dhamaal 4 Avoids Clash With Welcome To The Jungle?
According to a report by
Bollywood Hungama, Ajay Devgn and
Akshay Kumar spoke directly to each other and decided to avert the clash. Reportedly, both actors felt that releasing two big comedy films just one week apart could affect the box office performance of both movies. So now, instead of competing at the box office, the makers have decided to give both films a better theatrical run and enough space for audiences to enjoy each movie separately. This means
Welcome To The Jungle will arrive in cinemas as scheduled on June 26, 2026.
Dhamaal 4 will now release in theatres on July 17, instead of July 3. However, the makers are yet to make an official announcement. If the new release dates are confirmed, both films will now get around three weeks in theatres.
According to experts, this gap will benefit both big releases. However, ultimately, word-of-mouth will drive collections after their release. That said, this could turn Bollywood’s Summer 2026 into a major season. Reports suggest the industry is pleased with Ajay and Akshay’s agreement. Many feel their decision to choose cooperation over competition is a wise move.
