The
Batman: Part II, led by Robert Pattinson, has a number of new faces joining the sequel. Sebastian Stan, Brian Tyree Henry, Scarlett Johansson, Charles Dance and Sebastian Koch were all named by writer-director Matt Reeves as the new cast members. The director posted their casting with GIFs on X but he did not reveal who they were playing. Till now it was assumed that Stan would be playing Harvey Dent. A new report says that another actor in the cast is playing the role and shares who Stan will be playing. Find out more about Stan's new role in the DCU.
Who is Sebastian Stan playing in The Batman: Part II?
According to independent journalist Jeff Sneider,
Stan is not Harvey Dent; actor Brian Tyree Henry is. His newsletter also states that Stan will be playing serial killer Victor Zsasz, another Batman villian in the sequel. Zsasz keeps a tally of his victims by marking his flesh. According to Sneider, Reeves had stated in September 2025 that the sequel's villain had never been shown before.
Dent aka Two-Face was played by Aaron Eckhart in Christopher Nolan's The Dark Knight trilogy. Stan's Marvel co-star
Scarlett Johansson has been rumoured to play Dent's wife Gilda and Charles Dance as Dent's father. Now those speculations are also dubious, as the report also reveals that the film will include the storyline of the Court of Owls. They were a society of Gotham aristocrats who controlled the city for centuries.Last month at the Cannes Film Festival, Stan had told
Deadline that he was playing "many roles" in the Batman sequel. He had added, "I’m excited, I’m nervous and trying to keep surprising myself."
