Arjun Sarja has returned to the big screen with another action-packed film. Blast, directed by debutant Subhash K Raj and produced under the banner of AGS Entertainment, was released worldwide today, May 28, 2026. The film depicts the story of a middle-class family who are martial artists, gets into a forced fight against a ruthless gang for their survival. The cast included names like Arjun Sarja, Preity Mukundhan and Abhirami. KGF fame music director Ravi Basrur made his Tamil debut with Blast. While the expectations were high among the fans due to the star ensemble, after the first-day shows, their expectations were met, flooding the X with overwhelmingly positive reviews. First half wins the internet, fans call Arjun Sarja ‘Action King’
The opening of the film led to a pure celebration and praise across X. Fans praised Sarja’s acting. One of the users took to X, saying, “It's engaging and captivating. @akarjunofficial BLASTING! However, X reviewer said that the first half delivered “solid action stretches”, adding to it, he said,

Arjun’s performance in the film was, however, expected by the fans; what surprised them was Preity Mukundhan’s performance. One user wrote it directly and simply, saying, “The real surprise here is
Preity Mukundan, who is super impressive.” Whereas another one praised her, calling her screen presence “fiery”.
One user was impressed by the cast and wrote all three leads did a “great job”. What emerged as a unanimous winner on the internet was Ravi Barur’s BGM, praising which users wrote, “everything perfectly balanced”.
