Singer Armaan Malik On Bollywood Debut With Jai Ho: Salman Khan Wanted Me To Lose 10-15 Kgs

Malik, who made his Bollywood debut with Salman Khan’s 2014 film Jai Ho, recently recalled a fun memory during a chat with Farah Khan. The singer-songwriter revealed that Bhaijaan had asked him to lose 10–15 kgs, as he wanted Armaan to go ‘shirtless’ in the film.

In his recent interaction with director Farah Khan for her YouTube channel, Armaan Malik recalled his debut film Jai Ho, while being just 16 years old. The film starred Salman Khan in the lead role. He mentioned, "I had the craze to become India’s Justin Bieber. Salman bhai said that I should not release this album because he wanted to use 1-2 songs for his (then upcoming) film Jai Ho. That is how our (Armaan and brother Amaal) Bollywood debut happened. He said we would be shirtless, but I told him that would not be possible. Know Here He further revealed undergoing a 'rigorous dance and workout schedule' and losing 15 kgs. "But later, he said that it was a joke. ‘Yeh tujhe daraane ke liye tha (It was just to scare you)." He said he was glad he did not have to be “shirtless” in a music video for Salman Khan.
