Talking to Zoom, Arjun said, “Television didn’t just give me work it shaped who I am today. I grew up in Mumbai, surrounded by the magic of this industry, but it was TV that gave direction to that fascination. It taught me discipline, consistency, and the humility that comes from reaching people every single day. The connection I’ve built with audiences through this medium is the biggest reward of my journey, and it’s something I’ll always be grateful for.”

TV actor title
When asked if even in 2025, the title of ‘TV Actor’ still looked down upon, Bijlani said, “If someone still looks down on TV actors in 2025, that mindset is outdated. Television is one of the most demanding mediums long hours, intense emotions, and the pressure to deliver every single day. That level of commitment builds a different kind of discipline and strength.” He added, “But there’s also another side: exploring other platforms like OTT or films. And that has nothing to do with feeling “lesser” as a TV actor. It’s simply about growth and experimenting with different formats as an artist. So there are two separate things here the respect you earn as a hardworking TV actor, and the creative curiosity to explore. One doesn’t cancel the other. In fact, both can co-exist beautifully.” Looking at the evolution of television, Arjun revealed, “Indian television has evolved in every possible way. The narratives are sharper, characters are more grounded, and the visual quality has gone to another level. The arrival of OTT pushed TV to raise the bar, and it did. Today, we’re exploring new genres, new ways of storytelling, and we’re matching global standards while still staying connected to the emotional roots that Indian audiences love. That balance is what keeps the medium strong and relevant.” Arjun was recently seen in the first season of
Rise & Fall, hosted by Ashneer Grover. He won the winner’s trophy.
