Malhotra’s ambitious project Ramayana is currently one of the most hyped films. Made as a two-part series, the Ranbir Kapoor, Yash, and Sai Pallavi starrer's Part 1: The Introduction is scheduled to release this Diwali, and excitement is very high. However, fans may get to see Nitesh Tiwari’s cinematic adaptation of the Hindu epic earlier than expected. Reports suggest that the makers are planning to release the film before the festival. Rumours are rife that the release may be "preponed" so Ramayana can get a stronger box office run during the Diwali week. While there is no official confirmation yet, the decision could turn out to be a major business move that would affect the film’s overall performance.
Ramayana To Release Before Diwali 2026?
According to a report,
Ramayana: Part One may arrive a week before Diwali, with a possible release date of October 30, 2026. A source told
Bollywood Hungama that producer Namit Malhotra wants the film to establish itself before the Diwali period. The source added that the aim is a strong word of mouth so the film’s business peaks in the second week. The source also said that the plan is to not only release before Diwali but also benefit from the festive momentum in the following week. Reportedly, discussions are still ongoing, and a final decision is expected soon. The update has left fans even more excited. At a time when biggies face delay for multiple reasons, Namit Malhotra appears confident that the mythological drama will open to a strong response.
