Haq Actress Paridhi Sharma Recalls Auditioning For Emraan, Yami's Film - Everybody Loved My Performance | EXCL

After making a mark for herself on TV, Paridhi Sharma is now gearing up for her Bollywood debut. The actress, best known for Jodha Akbar and Patiala Babes, will be seen in Haq as Iram. The actress stars

alongside Emraan Hashmi and Yami Gautam. Ahead of her big screen debut, Paridhi exclusively interacted with Zoom. In conversation with us, the actress opened up about auditioning for the courtroom drama.

Going down memory lane, Paridhi shared details about her audition process for Haq. While discussing the same, the actress told Zoom that she almost took a break from TV before giving the audition. "So basically, I auditioned. Shivam Gupta is a casting director, and I gave the audition. But before giving the audition, I think I almost took a break from television. It's not that I am discontinuing television, it's just that I wanted to broaden my horizon, and I wanted to try out different mediums also," she said.

The actress further revealed how she honed her craft during the break. "I knew that it needed another kind of training, for which I consciously took this choice of taking a break so that I can prepare myself more on the craft, and I kept doing lot many workshops. I did a workshop with Atul Mongia sir, also. I also did a short film directed by Atul Mongia. The preparation started much before. It's been almost unlearning the things which I knew and again adapting to a new craft. Well, Paridhi auditioned for a role in Haq and eventually bagged the part. "And then finally, when I got the call for the audition, I gave it. Everybody loved my performance. God's grace. Eventually, Suparn S Varma, who took the final call on the selection, agreed. Then, I got the part."

Directed by Suparn S Varma and produced by Junglee Pictures, Haq has been set for a theatrical release on November 7, 2025. The film is inspired by the landmark Supreme Court judgement.
