Halfway
through 2026, the Hindi moviegoing audience has been treated to a variety of films on the big screen. June gets bigger with all weekends packed with multiple releases. The month begins with Bobby Deol’s Bandar, a film that made festival rounds before securing a theatrical release. Varun Dhawan’s romantic comedy Hai Jawani Toh Ishq Hona Hai, Imtiaz Ali-directed Main Vaapas Aaunga, and the much-anticipated Cocktail 2 are also lined up. Bandar follows the story of Sameer Mehra. He is a rockstar. Suddenly, he is arrested after a woman accuses him of sexual assault. Samir claims that he is innocent. Bobby Deol plays the lead role. Bharat Bhhagya Viddhaata - June 12
Bharat Bhhagya Viddhaata, headlined by Kangana Ranaut, is inspired by true events. The film is set within Mumbai’s Cama Hospital, where terrorists opened fire. Set against a night of terror, the real-life inspired movie chronicles the extraordinary true story of the hospital Staff, nurses, ward boys, cleaners, lift operators, security staff, and administrative workers, people from every rung of the hospital ecosystem, who stood firm in the face of armed violence.
