through 2026, the Hindi moviegoing audience has been treated to a variety of films on the big screen. June gets bigger with all weekends packed with multiple releases. The month begins with Bobby Deol’s Bandar, a film that made festival rounds before securing a theatrical release. Varun Dhawan’s romantic comedy Hai Jawani Toh Ishq Hona Hai, Imtiaz Ali-directed Main Vaapas Aaunga, and the much-anticipated Cocktail 2 are also lined up. Bandar - June 5

Bandar follows the story of Sameer Mehra. He is a rockstar. Suddenly, he is arrested after a woman accuses him of sexual assault. Samir claims that he is innocent. Bobby Deol plays the lead role. The film also stars Sanya Malhotra, Raj B Shetty, Sapna Pabbi, Saba Azad, Riddhi Sen, Jitendra Joshi, Indrajith Sukumaran and Nagesh Bhonsle. Bandar is written by Sudip Sharma and Abhishek Banerjee, and directed by Anurag Kashyap.

Hai Jawani Toh Ishq Hona Hai - June 5

Directed by David Dhawan, Hai Jawani Toh Ishq Hona Hai stars Varun Dhawan, Mrunal Thakur and Pooja Hegde along with Mouni Roy, Manish Paul, Jimmy Shergill, Rakesh Bedi, Chunky Panday and others. The romantic comedy is about Jass, who is in love with Baani and Preet. The double trouble begins when both get pregnant at the same time.

Main Vaapas Aaunga - June 12

In Imtiaz Ali’s old-school romantic drama, Main Vaapas Aaunga, Vedang Raina plays Keenu and Sharvari portrays Jiya. The film has two timelines – pre-Partition and the present day. A tale of love, longing and sacrifices, Diljit Dosanjh and Naseeruddin Shah play pivotal parts to connect both ends. With AR Rahman’s music, Main Vaapas Aaunga promises to be a soulful love story.

Governor: The Silent Saviour - June 12

Governor is set in 1990, amid the backdrop of the Gulf War that led to India’s worst economic meltdown. Headlined by Mano Bajpayee, the film draws inspiration from lesser-known historical events that shaped the nation. The actor plays the role of the Governor of the Reserve Bank of India. Directed by Chinmay Mandlekar, Governor is co-produced by Aashin A. Shah and written by Suvendu Bhattacharyjee, Saurabh Bharat, Ravi Asrani, and Vipul Amrutlal Shah.

Bharat Bhhagya Viddhaata - June 12

Bharat Bhhagya Viddhaata, headlined by Kangana Ranaut, is inspired by true events. The film is set within Mumbai’s Cama Hospital, where terrorists opened fire. Set against a night of terror, the real-life inspired movie chronicles the extraordinary true story of the hospital Staff, nurses, ward boys, cleaners, lift operators, security staff, and administrative workers, people from every rung of the hospital ecosystem, who stood firm in the face of armed violence. Written and directed by Manoj Tapadia, the movie also stars Girija Oak, Smita Tambe, Amrutha Namdev, Esha Dey, Priya Berde, Asha Shelar, Suhita Thatte, Rasika Aghase, Aditya Mishra, and Zahid Khan.

Cocktail 2 - June 19

Shahid Kapoor, Kriti Sanon and Rashmika Mandanna lead Homi Adajania’s Cocktail 2. The film is about Ally, Kunal and Diya. While the teaser and trailer are yet to be released, the songs indicate that the story will revolve around Ally and Diya’s attraction towards Kunal. Two songs from Cocktail 2 are out as of now – Jab Talak and Mashooqa.

Welcome To The Jungle - June 26

Welcome To The Jungle stars Akshay Kumar, Suniel Shetty, Disha Patani, Raveena Tandon, Lara Dutta, Jacqueline Fernandez, Paresh Rawal, Arshad Warsi, Johnny Lever, Rajpal Yadav, Tusshar Kapoor, Shreyas Talpade, Krushna Abhishek, Kiku Sharda, Daler Mehndi, Mika Singh, Mukesh Tiwari, Zakir Hussain, Yashpal Sharma, and Sayaji Shinde, Jackie Shroff and Aftab Shivdasani.
