Don 3 Row: Ranveer Singh's Team Misguided Him, Says FWICE President After Dropping Non-Cooperation Directive

Singh received relief in the Don 3 controversy after the Federation of Western India Cine Employees dropped non-cooperation directives against the actor. The Bollywood actor found himself in trouble after the film body issued a directive because of his exit from Farhan Akhtar and Ritesh Sidhwani's project. On June 3, FWICE held a press conference and conveyed its decision. Now, in a media interview, the organisation's president has revealed that the intention was never to harm Ranveer. However, he believes the actor's team misguided him in this matter.

Speaking to Hindustan Times, FWICE President BN Tiwari said, "Actually, we thought that once we issued the non-cooperation directive, they would come forward and talk to us. But I feel his team misguided him." The letter sent by Ranveer's team stated that the actor doesn't come under the film body's jurisdiction, he added. He further revealed that the Dhurandhar 2 star is an artist and member of CINTAA, which is affiliated with FWICE. And that's why they had to take action.

Having said that, the film body never wanted to pull down a 'superstar'. Tiwari admitted that the organisation never wanted to 'stop' him from moving forward. He called Ranveer 'superstar'. Admitting that FWICE had no personal interest in the Don 3 matter, president said the organisation functions for its workers and technicians.BN Tiwari went on to speak regarding Ranveer's legal notice against the organisation. He stated that they will continue to deal with the matter legally. Since the film body feels the issue is heading towards a resolution, it decided to take a step back and put faith in producer bodies and industry representatives.

Before concluding his thoughts on Don 3 controversy, the president stated that there wouldn't have been a problem if he sat with Ranveer. He confessed having no issue with the Bollywood actor. In fact, he wants Ranveer's success and the industry to survive. "At this stage, I am not looking for anything for myself. I only want the industry to prosper," he mentioned. Tiwari summed up his thoughts by adding that he has 'good faith' in Ranveer.

On the work front, the Bollywood actor was last seen in Aditya Dhar's Dhurandhar: The Revenge. Produced by JioStudios and Aditya Dhar Films, the spy thriller was theatrically released on March 19 this year.
