What is the story about?
The
next big K-drama to look out for is Netflix's The WONDERfools. The action comedy is set to premiere on the streaming service on May 15, 2026. The new date announcement promo for the Korean show teases some funny dialogues, a few eccentric characters and a cast that is ready to bring the comedy for The WONDERfools. The show is led by Extraordinary Attorney Woo's Park Eun-bin and True Beauty's Cha Eun-woo and sees the main protagonists reluctantly take on their new superhero roles and save Haeseong City from villains out to harm the place.

The excitement is high for Park Eun-bin and Cha Eun-woo's next project, as the actors are working together for the first time. The WONDERfools takes place in 1999 before Y2K and the new millennium. The show focuses on a ragtag crew of misfits who are just ordinary citizens who suddenly acquire superpowers. The action comedy follows the foursome as they step up to be heroes in Haeseong City.

Extraordinary Attorney Woo director Yoo In-sik has a reunion with star Park Eun-bin. She plays Eun Chae-ni, who is transformed after an unexpected incident and has superpowers. Meanwhile, Cha Eun-woo essays the role of Lee Woon-jung. The Rookie Historian Goo Hae-ryung actor plays a specially appointed civic servant who is looking through a series of disappearances with greater interest. The ensemble cast also includes Choi Dae-hoon, Im Seong-jae, Kim Hae-sook, and Son Hyun-joo. The date announcement promo gives viewers a closer look at the characters who have different levels of excitement upon discovering their superpowers. Chae-ni (Park Eun-bin) is delighted; Woon-jung (Cha Eun-woo) is focused; Gyeong-hun (Choi Dae-hoon) is taken aback, while Ro-bin (Im Seong-jae) is spooked.
