Ahead of the film’s release, Rajpal opened up in an exclusive chat about what makes his on-screen chemistry with Akshay Kumar click so effortlessly with the audience. He also referenced IPL while talking about entertinment during their shoots.

Speaking about their bond, Rajpal Yadav told
Zoom that the absence of formality between him and Akshay Kumar is special. He explained that their comfort level allows them to remain fully engaged in a scene until it is completed, often adding spontaneous physical elements to enhance the performance. “Hamare mein koi formality nahin hai… hum dono itne acche communicator hain,” he said, talking about how their mutual understanding translates into seamless coordination on screen.
Drawing an interesting comparison, Rajpal described their working style as similar to an IPL match, where the energy and entertainment never drop until the very end. “Manoranjan ek IPL ka match hai… jab tak scene poora shoot nahin hota, entertainment chalta rehta hai,” he shared. According to him, this constant flow of energy ensures that even between takes, they remain immersed in the scene, keeping it alive and dynamic.
Rajpal Yadav calls Akshay Kumar 'sporty'
One of the key aspects Rajpal pointed out was Akshay Kumar’s ability to bring spontaneity to a scene. He praised the actor for constantly exploring new ideas while on set. “Akshay ji ki badi kamaal ki baat hai ki woh set pe hamesha kuch na kuch live khojte rehte hain,” Rajpal said, adding that this quality significantly contributes to making scenes feel more natural and engaging.
The actor also spoke about their shared 'sporty' mindset, which he believes plays a crucial role in their chemistry. Recalling his own childhood experiences with games like kabaddi and gilli danda, Rajpal said that both he and Akshay approach acting with a similar spirit. “He is a sporty guy… aur main bhi bachpan se khelta aa raha hoon,” he noted. For Rajpal, acting is deeply connected to the idea of play. He elaborated that just as learning and growth can happen through games, filmmaking too can benefit from a playful approach. “To shooting bhi khel khel mein honi chahiye,” he said.Recalling his past collaborations with Akshay Kumar, Rajpal said he has always been fortunate to receive roles that are both entertaining and performance-driven.
