The Hunger Games - Naam Toh Sunah Hi Hoga? But why is it trending right now? A 2012 dystopian actioner by Gary Ross, the film, starring Jennifer Lawrence, Josh Hutcherson in the lead roles, is the first
installment in The Hunger Games film series, based on the 2008 novel of the same name by Suzanne Collins. And it is trending right now, thanks to US President Donald Trump. Say what? Yes, President Donald Trump unveiled a slate of national celebrations for America’s 250th anniversary in 2026 — including one event that feels uncannily ripped from Panem. But what does that mean?
The Donald Trump - The Hunger Games Connect
President Donald Trump in a YouTube announcement revealed the US is gearing up to host the first-ever Patriot Games - a four-day athletic event featuring high school athletes. "One young man and one young woman from each state and territory," the US President added. Sounds familiar? It would, the announcement eerily mirrors Suzanne Collins’ book and Gary Ross’ film.
What Is The Hunger Games And Why Should You See It RIGHT NOW
The parallels between Patriot Games and The Hunger Games are undeniable. The books/ film series also feature one young man and one young woman from each of the Panem's 'Districts' being selected to face off in an annual athletic competition.Panem is a dystopian state split into twelve districts under the iron rule of the Capitol. As retribution for a rebellion crushed 74 years earlier, each district is forced every year to send one boy and one girl, aged 12 to 18, into the Hunger Games - a nationally televised fight to the death with a single survivor. Arguably, the real life Patriot Games will not have such a gruesome ending. The Hunger Games stars Jennifer Lawrence, Josh Hutcherson, Liam Hemsworth, Woody Harrelson, Elizabeth Banks, Lenny Kravitz, Stanley Tucci, and Donald Sutherland. In the film, Katniss Everdeen (Lawrence) and Peeta Mellark (Hutcherson) are forced to compete till death.
Considering the announcement, now would probably be a good time to revisit the film and figure out what all the hullaballoo is all about.
