A celebrity and a multilingual translator fall in love over several trips around the world in Netflix's new K-drama Can This Love Be Translated? When Life Gives You Tangerines actor Kim Seon-ho plays the multilingual interpreter
who speaks Korean, English, Japanese, and Italian. Resident Playbook's Go Youn-jung plays an actress who becomes famous overnight. The couple have a chance meeting in Japan and continue running into each other again as fate puts them together. Directed by Yoo Young-eun, the slow-burning romance goes from cold Canada to old Italy as the characters take part in the reality dating show Romantic Trip.

Japan: The characters of Ho-jin (Kim Seon-ho) and Mu-hee (Go Youn-jung) first meet in Japan unexpectedly. The shy translator helps the budding actress confront her ex-boyfriend’s mistress after he cheats on her. Eventually, the two lose contact, but Mu-hee has a photo of Ho-jin from Japan kept with her as a remembrance.
Korea: The next time Ho-jin and Mu-hee meet is in different circumstances. She is now a famous actress thanks to her role as the killer zombie Do Ra-mi in the horror film
The Quiet Woman. Ho-jin is her translator for an international interview but he tells her to delete his photo from her Instagram account. Later, Ho-jin signs up for a job on the reality series
Romantic Trip featuring Mu-hee.
Canada: After working on the show together for a while and travelling to Canada, Ho-jin and Mu-hee finally confess their true feelings to one another. However, Ji-sun (Shin Ji-sun) joins the reality series as the show producer. She is Ho-jin’s first love and was earlier engaged to his brother. But Ji-sun has broken her engagement before coming to Canada, so Mu-hee assumes Ho-jin is still in love with her. She breaks up with him, and Ho-jin leaves the show.
Italy: The reality show moves filming to Italy, where Mu-hee exists as two separate characters. She shoots the reality show during the day, but at night, she wanders through the city as
The Quiet Woman's Do Ra-mi. Ho-jin eventually returns to the show as a translator to help Mu-hee lose Do Ra-mi. He follows her at night to make sure Mu-hee doesn't get hurt.So do Ho-jin and Mu-hee end up together? You will have to watch the 12-episode series to find out!
