From Your PC and LaptopsStep 1: In your laptop, open ChatGPT in any browser. Make sure you’re logged in to your account with a valid email address. Step 2: Click on your profile in the bottom left corner, where you’ll find an option for 'settings'. Click on thatStep 3: After clicking on 'setting', a dialogue box will open for you where you’ll find 'Account'. Click on thatStep 4: Click on “Account” and scroll down; you’ll find an option for 'Delete Account' and click on Delete. From Your SmartphonesStep 1: In your Android or iOS device, open ChatGPT. Make sure you have logged in with a valid email ID. Step 2: Click on the two horizontal lines in the upper left corner, which will show you various options like New Chat, Images and your previous conversations with ChatGPT. Step 3: Click on your profile, which will open all the settings of ChatGPT for you. Scroll down until you find 'Data Controls'. Step 4: Under Data Controls, you’ll find 'Delete OpenAI Account' Click on that, and this will permanently delete your ChatGPT account. Note: Permanently deleting your account can’t be undone. If you have a subscription through the Google Play Store, then you have to cancel the subscription separately. You cannot use the same email address or phone number to make a new account. All your data across all OpenAI apps will be removed. After clicking on 'Delete', your data will take almost 30 days to be entirely removed.
