This one works in a pretty similar way as the bank freeze one. here, the scammers pretend to the electricity providing department and ask you to pay pending dues or face a power cut and heavy fines. By interacting with this kind of messages, you can give them scammers remote access of your device or end up paying electricity bill that doesn't even exist.
Video call extortion
In this one, first the scammers trap you in a web of friendship and slowly earn your trust. Once that's done, they will video call you and record the same in compromising situations. This could ruin your life mentally along with financial setbacks on the plate as well.
