Danish Pandor made critics, and the audience sit up and take notice of his attractive screen presence and ability to hold the scene with menace in the recently released Dhurandhar. He plays Rehman Dakait
(Akshaye Khanna)’s cousin, Uzair Baloch. Having worked with Akshaye closely for Dhurandhar, Danish told Zoom exclusively that the senior actor, though reserved, is warm and friendly with his co-stars.
Danish Pandor calls Dhurandhar co-star Akshaye Khanna reserved yet inspiring
In an exclusive interview with
Zoom, Danish, who is basking in praises and accolades for playing Uzair, told us, “Akshaye Khanna, as a person, is very reserved. He comes to the set, meets you and greets you with a hug, and then he stays in his own space. When the cameras roll, he is a different person altogether. He knows the ins and outs of every scene that what exactly needs to be done and avoids all the unnecessary distractions which are there on the set.”

Akshaye Khanna observes quietly
He further added, “There is something very inspiring about Akshaye sir that every actor should learn. Getting into the zone, keeping it to yourself. Just perform and give your 100% every time. He is very sharp as an actor, and he quietly observes everyone.”Recalling Akshaye’s support as a co-star on
Dhurandhar’s set, Danish said the actor would never frown over retakes and often gave encouraging feedback to him. Whenever Pandor felt he could be better at enacting a scene, Khanna would trust his vision and redo scenes despite knowing it was perfectly done. Previously, Akshaye and Danish worked together in 2025’s highest-grossing Hindi film,
Chhaava. The former played the role of Aurangzeb in the Laxman Utekar-historical drama co-starring Vicky Kaushal and Rashmika Mandanna.
