Nvidia CEO Jensen Huang has said that the company will invest around $150 billion every year in Taiwan and described the island as the 'epicentre; of the artificial intelligence (AI) revolution. "Taiwan is the epicentre of the AI revolution. This is where the chips come, packaging comes, this is where the systems are made, this is where AI supercomputers were created," he said.Speaking at an event in Taipei to mark the launch of Nvidia's upcoming Taiwan headquarters, Huang said the company's spending in the country has increased dramatically over the past few years, Reuters reported. "Four or five years ago, Nvidia was spending around $10 billion to $15 billion a year in Taiwan. Now, we are spending about $100 billion and that will grow to around $150 billion annually,"
Huang said.The new headquarters is expected to break ground later this year and become operational by 2030.
