Wednesday,
which remains Netflix's most watched English show, is now in production for its third season. On April 9, the streaming service revealed that it had added more cast members for the upcoming season. The supernatural teen drama also already had a casting coup of sorts after Casino Royale's Eva Green and Stranger Things star Winona Ryder came on board the newest instalment. Now Game of Thrones actress Lena Heady, The Blacklist actor Andrew McCarthy, and Ted Lasso's James Lance were announced as guest stars. Find out more about Wednesday Season 3 below.
Lena Headey, Andrew McCarthy, James Lance are joining Wednesday Season 3
On social media, Netflix announced that every nightmare needs new faces with the casting announcement for Lena Headey, Andrew McCarthy, and James Lance. The trio will be guest-starring in the new season of
Wednesday, which is already filming in Dublin, Ireland. Their roles are being kept under wraps for now. But previously, showrunners Al Gough and Miles Millar had shared that Season 3 would see new students and teachers being welcomed at Nevermore Academy along with some Addams Family secrets being unearthed.
Other new faces for Season 3 include
Winona Ryder, who has worked with star Jenna Ortega on Beetlejuice; Chris Sarandon; Noah Taylor; Oscar Morgan; and Kennedy Moyer. Ryder plays Tabitha, Sarandon plays Balthazar, Morgan is Atticus, Taylor is Cyrus, and Moyer is Daisy. Besides their character names, no other description was given.
Eva Green, like Ryder, Sarandon and Taylor, has worked with executive producer and director Tim Burton before. She is set to play Ophelia Frump, the missing sister of Morticia Addams (Catherine Zeta-Jones). The finale of Season 2 showed that Ophelia had been hidden away in the basement by her own mother Hester (Joanna Lumley).
Other returning cast members for Wednesday Season 3
Besides Ortega as Wednesday Addams, Emma Myers will be back as the werewolf Enid Sinclair and Hunter Doohan will return as the Hyde, Tyler Galpin. Wednesday's classmates Joy Sunday as Bianca Barclay, Moosa Mostafa as Eugene Ottinger, Georgie Farmer as Ajax Petropolus, and Evie Templeton as Agnes DeMille will also show up.
Isaac Ordonez plays Wednesday's brother Pugsley Addams, Luis Guzmán is her father Gomez Addams, and Fred Armisen is her eccentric Uncle Fester. Zeta-Jones and Lumley are also back, as is Billie Piper as Isadora Capri and Luyanda Unati Lewis-Nyawo as Sheriff Ritchie Santiago. Finally, Victor Dorobantu is also returning as Wednesday's sidekick and good friend, Thing.
