of Apple TV's long-running originals, The Morning Show, starring Jennifer Aniston and Reese Witherspoon, concluded in dramatic style. The show has already been renewed for a fifth season, which means that these characters are safe, for now, but how did they get there? We find out how Alex Levy (Aniston) secures Bradley Jackson's (Witherspoon) release in the tenth episode of Season 4 titled Knowing Violation .

Celine forces Alex to resign from UBN

Earlier, Celine Dumont (Marion Cotillard) blackmails Alex to leave her position at UBN. Alex confronts her over the fact that Celine was the one behind the deepfake of Alex and wanted to take her down. When Alex tells Celine that she should resign, in turn, she shares that she will report the fact that she and Paul (Jon Hamm) went to Russian oligarch Dmitry Ivanov to broker a deal for Bradley's release. Blocked into a corner, she announces her resignation on air from UBN.

Alex's father, Martin, is of surprising help

The show introduced Alex's estranged father, Martin Levy, played by Jeremy Irons. Throughout the season, Martin, who is a college professor, has been a terrible father. He ruins an opportunity for Alex to interview Joe Biden and breaks her heart when he tells her the truth about why her mother left when she was little. But when it counts, her father ends up being a surprising strength of support when he tells Alex to sue Celine for wrongful termination of her and go public with the knowledge.

Cory realises some awful truths about his mother and career

Still smarting from Bradley's betrayal, Cory (Billy Crudup) falls into a relationship with the much-married Celine. After his mother Martha's death (Lindsay Duncan), Cory has the original EPA report that everyone is after. He offers to give to Celine and her family to help bring Bradley back. Miles (Aaron Pierre) corners Cory at his apartment and reveals that the reason his mother had the report was because she brokered the Wolf River cover-up to get him a job at UBA. A broken Cory must decide to do the right thing.

Alex Levy's big press conference

With her father, Martin, by her side, Alex holds a live press conference where she exposes the environmental cover-up story that led Bradley to be imprisoned in the Belarusian jail. She details the involvement of the Dumont family and exposes how Celine left her no choice but to resign. Ben (William Jackson Harper) defies Celine's orders and airs it live on UBN. While Celine is on a frantic call with Cory, she threatens to let Bradley rot in prison forever. Unfortunately for Celine, the threat is heard around the world as the phone is on speakerphone.

Does Bradley get rescued from jail?

Yes, Alex and Paul travel to Belarus to pick up Bradley from her 35-day ordeal of torture and starvation. The brave but dazed Bradley is surprised but relieved to see Alex waiting for her at the airport. As for the rest of the characters, Celine gets to leave the US with her brother on her private jet to France. She leaves Miles a goodbye note that states that her family is making her the scapegoat for the scandal.

What will happen in Season 5?

With the CEO spot up for grabs, Mia (Karen Pittman) and Ben have a chance to lead the network. Additionally, which of the old faces, including Alex, Bradley, Cory, and Chip (Mark Duplass), will be returning? The season finale leaves a lot in the air. However, it reemphasises the strong friendship between Alex and Bradley, indicating yet another reset for the duo.
