Still, there are a few noticeable differences and changes that many fans may have missed. Read on to know!
Dhurandhar Raw And Undekha Releases
Dhurandhar: Raw And Undekha released on Netflix and JioHotstar on May 22. The new version does not add fresh scenes or extend the story, but several elements have been changed to make the film feel more intense and realistic. The theatrical version of
Dhurandhar had a runtime of 3 hours and 34 minutes. However, both the earlier OTT release and
Dhurandhar: Raw And Undekha are 3 hours and 25 minutes long.
Dhurandhar Raw And Undekha - What Has Changed?
Dialogues unmuted: The biggest change in
Dhurandhar: Raw And Undekha is the language. Many abusive and aggressive dialogues that were muted in theatres are now clearly audible. Because of this, characters sound more raw, intense, and natural compared to the theatrical cut.
Violence feels stronger: Unlike the
Dhurandhar 2 Raw And Undekha, which released on Netflix US a few days ago, there are no new action or violent scenes added to this one. Still, the overall impact feels heavier. Apparently, the colour grading has been slightly changed, which makes blood, injuries, and action moments appear darker and more intense on screen. During the OTT release of the first instalment, this was one of the major issues pointed out by fans, and it looks like Aditya Dhar has ensured that the film’s overall appeal is no longer compromised.
Characters feel more intense: Several characters come across as more brutal, mainly because of the uncensored dialogues. The shift in language and tone makes their behaviour feel sharper and more hard-hitting than before. Ranveer Singh as Hamza Ali Mazari appears more emotional and aggressive, with his climax breakdown feeling harsher. Arjun Rampal’s Major Iqbal sounds more disturbing in his speeches, while Sanjay Dutt’s SP Choudhary Aslam and Akshaye Khanna’s Rehman Dakait appear more fearless and aggressive due to unfiltered dialogue delivery.Notably, there are no major structural changes. Despite the "Raw And Undekha" label, there are no new scenes, no deleted footage restored, and no extra action sequences. The story remains exactly the same, with only tonal and dialogue-level changes, not narrative ones.
Dhurandhar: Raw And Undekha mainly changes the tone of the film instead of the story.
