Campus
Beats Returns, the sixth season of Campus Beats, is now streaming on Amazon MX Player. High-voltage dance face-offs, slow-burn rivalries, and a mystery, the series has had its own unique journey. In an exclusive interview with Zoom, Campus Beats’ creative producer, Palki Malhotra, opened up about breaking the clutter on OTT. She explained that the team working on Campus Beats has been attempting to deliver something fresh and out of the box every season. On finding audience support for a campus romantic drama, Palki said the conscious effort to push the boundaries of entertainment finally paid off.
Palki Malhotra on breaking clutter with Campus Beats Returns
Palki told us, “We are trying to break the clutter with Campus Beats. We want people to have a different experience. It is great to have crime thrillers and mysteries because they keep the audience hooked. But I feel romance and a love story that is incomplete can also keep the audience hooked. Campus Beats is more like an emotional journey than an external one. I would love to believe that we are breaking the clutter, and people want to see something like this and breathe easy. We have been taking constant risks. We took a calculated break for a year. The idea was not to just bring another season but give the audience something to take back."
