In an interview with Hindi Rush, Shah Rukh Khan’s ex-bodyguard, Yaseen Khan, said that none of the bodyguards get an Rs 8 to 10 lakh salary in a month. He said, “I don’t think they earn that kind of amount yearly. If a celebrity personally pays them based on mutual understanding, that’s different. But salaries are not that high. Who is paying Rs 8–10 lakh per month?” Yaseen further stated that social media spreads wrong messages about bodyguards’ earnings. According to him, if someone is a bodyguard for a big star, they get a fixed salary. Whenever the star is shooting for a project, a separate contract is drawn up, and producers pay a certain amount to the security guard for that film.

Yaseen also revealed that bodyguards would not get paid for accompanying stars on the sets. The driver, makeup man and spot boy were paid by the producer, but bodyguards wouldn’t get enough salary to survive. At that time, he approached producers and asked them to have contracts for bodyguards.

At that time, Yaseen Khan had a word with Gauri Khan and informed her that his colleagues are getting paid during shoots. She agreed to it.
