was one of the earliest shows on Indian OTT before the streaming boom kicked in. Eight years after the first season premiered, Farhan Akhtar and Ritesh Sidhwani gave a green signal to its film adaptation. The shoot of the crime thriller wrapped up some time back. Now, the makers of Mirzapur: The Movie have announced its release date. It will arrive in theatres this year. Sharing a glimpse of what is in store for the audience, the team teased a new season of bhaukaal, but this time on the big screen. A teaser poster was launched along with the date announcement.

The first teaser poster of
Mirzapur: The Movie featured a path paved in the middle of a sand desert. The road is defined by blood. The iconic Kaleen Bhaiyya’s chair, which unfolded the events of season 3, could be seen in the poster.
Mirzapur: The Movie releases in theatres on September 4.
Mirzapur: The Movie cast
Mirzapur's film adaptation will star Ali Fazal as Guddu Bhaiya, Pankaj Tripathi as Kaleen Bhaiya, Shweta Tripathi as Golu,
Rasika Dugal as Beena, and Shriya Pilgaonkar returns as Sweety, who was killed in the first season of the show. Divyenndu is also expected to reprise his iconic role of Munna Bhaiya after being killed in the second season. Abhishek Banerjee is back as Compounder. Ravi Kishan, Mohit Malik and Jitendra Kumar are the new additions to the cast. Their roles are unknown.

Mirzapur universe. The film is produced by Ritesh Sidhwani and Farhan Akhtar and co-produced by Kassim Jagmagia and Vishal Ramchandani under the banner of Excel Entertainment and directed by Gurmmeet Singh.
Set in the garb of local politics and hooliganism,
Mirzapur is the story of Akhandanand Tripathi’s family and Guddu Pandit’s family. The ruthless mafia don rules over Mirzapur. When the violent power struggles between the Tripathi family and the ambitious Pandit brothers, gets ignited, it leads to darker consequences. All three seasons are currently streaming on Prime Video.
