Salman Khan hosted reality TV show Bigg Boss 19 is getting spicier as it gets closer to the Grand Finale. The competition between the contestants is clearly visible, and housemates are holding no bars

in proving their worth and value in the Bigg Boss house. In the latest episode, Gaurav Khanna beats Shehbaz Badesha to become the captain of the house, in the Captaincy task. On the other hand, Mridul Tiwari faces eviction as he gets the lowest votes from the audience. Here's what happened in the recent episode of Bigg Boss 19.The episode begins with Farrhana Bhatt and Tanya Mittal discussing about Ashnoor Kaur. Tanya mentions that she won’t talk to or about Ashnoor as she gets called out soon after. Meanwhile, Amaal Mallik opens up about his rivalries in the music industry, revealing how he faced the “music mafia” and sharing that he originally wanted to become a cricketer.Later, Kunickaa asks Farrhana to help with household chores, but Farrhana refuses, saying a new captain will soon be selected. Amid this, we see Amaal recalling his first big break, composing for Salman Khan’s Jai Ho, and how its failure affected him.In a jheartwarming moment, Farrhana is seen praising Kunickaa Sadanand , saying that even her smallest gestures are heartfelt. Amaal and Gaurav cheer both women on, while Kunickaa expresses that she truly felt Farrhana’s hug, unlike the fake affection she sometimes receives. She adds that she has no conflicts with anyone in the house.Tanya later discusses the food menu with Gaurav. He first lists fancy dishes, only to reveal afterward what he actually cooked. Gaurav then asks Tanya who might visit her during family week. She says her maasi might come and admits she doesn’t have many friends outside. Shehbaz later tells Gaurav that Tanya had told Pranit the same thing, but Gaurav advises him not to confront her.

Audience decides winner in Captaincy task

Bigg Boss then calls everyone to the assembly room. The contestants are divided into batches of three to pitch themselves for votes. Gaurav, Pranit, and Mridul form one group, while Kunickaa, Farrhana, and Tanya form another. A third group, including Shehbaz, Malti and Ashnoor gets half the time to make their pitch as they didn't win the previous day's task. Bigg Boss announces that the contestant with the lowest audience votes will be eliminated. The housemates finally face a live audience for the first time. Mridul gives an emotional speech about his humble roots and his bond with 'brother' Gaurav Khanna. Pranit More praises the audience’s love, calls Farrhana talented, and insists he never created drama for footage. Gaurav then shares his Bigg Boss journey, taking a witty jab at those who claim not to know him. Farrhana also delivers and impressive speech and shares that she never pretends to be goodie two shoes and so does Kunickaa Sadanand. Tanya on the other hand, tries to impress viewers with a story and gives a message of her being a strong contender. Towards the end, Shehbaz also impressed audience with his unabashed nature, while Malti and Ashnoor try to convince audience with their heart to heart conversation.After audience voting, Farrhana emerges safe. Amaal, however, predicts that Gaurav will emerge as the real winner of the task.

Gaurav beats Shehbaz to emerge as winner; Mridul gets evicted

Soon after audience's votes are counted, Gaurav emerges as winner and he beats Shehbaz Badesha who scores lesser votes than the TV star. Towards the end of the counting, Mridul scores the lowest votes and is evicted from the show. He bids tearful goodbye to housemates and Gaurav gets emotional as the YouTuber called him 'big brother.' Towards the end of the episode, Amaal shares his honest opinion and says Gaurav has always used Mridul as a pawn and he never supported the YouTuber. The episode ends with Tanya agreeing to Amaal's point of view.
