Rumours linking Thalapathy Vijay and Trisha Krishnan, who have worked together in films such as Ghilli and Leo, have resurfaced following their appearance at a high-profile wedding in Chennai.
This was further fuelled by reports surrounding Vijay’s separation from his wife Sangeeta, who accused Thalapathy Vijay of having a marital affair with an actress. Trisha also posted an image after she cast her vote in the recently held Tamil Nadu elections, where she accompanied the image with a song from Ghilli, which was her first film with Vijay, and which has a whistle in the music. The whistle symbol has officially been allotted by the Election Commission of India (ECI) to Vijay's party, Tamilaga Vettri Kazhagam (TVK), for the 2026 Tamil Nadu Assembly elections.Meanwhile, apart from Suriya and Trisha Krishnan, the film Karuppu also stars Sshivada, Swasika, Yogi Babu, Indrans, and Natty Subramanium. The screenplay is written by RJ Balaji in collaboration with Rathna Kumar. Originally, AR Rahman was in talks to compose the music, but the final score is now being handled by Sai Abhaynkkar.
