Lionsgate and Blumhouse have announced that the upcoming reboot will feature the involvement of the 1999 film’s original stars and directors. This comes after years of frustration and public criticism over the architects of the original nightmare being excluded from previous sequels. The original film, written, directed, and edited by Daniel Myrick and Eduardo Sánchez, is categorised as a found footage psychological folk horror film.The new film, backed by Lionsgate in collaboration
