Charan's Peddi is off to a flyer. Directed by Buchi Babu Sana, the sports drama has opened with a bang, delivering the biggest opening for a Telugu film in 2026. Peddi, which is made on a massive budget of Rs 350 crore, has collected over Rs 69 crore in India net on its opening day including paid previews. The film releases in five languages, Telugu, Hindi, Tamil, Kannada, and Malayalam, and is running across thousands of screens nationwide.

Peddi got its box office journey off to a strong start with its paid previews (Day 0) on June 3, pulling in Rs 18.50 crore India net, as per Sacnilk. Clearly, fans could not wait and packed the theatres well before the official release day even began.On Day 1, the film added another Rs 51 crore India net to its total, taking the combined Day 0 + Day 1 collection to an impressive Rs 69.50 crore. And as expected, the Telugu version drove the bulk of the numbers.Peddi ran across 6,647 theatres in India, giving it a wide reach across the country from day one. This opening is important for Ram Charan, whose previous film Game Changer had disappointed at the box office. It is now to be seen how the film holds up over the first weekend.

Chiranjeevi, Pawan Kalyan Give Shoutout To Peddi

The biggest shoutout for Peddi came from none other than Ram Charan's father, veteran megastar Chiranjeevi.
