The Copenhagen Test: Simu Liu Promises Cast Of Spy Thriller Danish Vacation If Renewed For Season 2, Here's Why

Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings actor Simu Liu is leading the new Peacock series The Copenhagen Test. In India, the series is streaming on JioHotstar, where it sits at number 5 on the Top 10

English series. On Peacock, the spy series created by Thomas Brandon is number one on the streaming service. Basking in the glow of his new show, Simu Liu posted a witty remark about the setting of the drama and made a big promise to his cast members ahead of a possible Season 2. Simu Liu makes promise to The Copenhagen Test cast

Taking to X (formerly Twitter), Simu Liu shared, "On behalf of our entire cast i would like to apologize for the fact that our show bears no relation to the actual, amazing city of copenhagen. if renewed for a season two, i will treat our entire cast to a danish vacation so we can properly experience our namesake." The actor also added a gif of the actual city in his post.

While The Copenhagen Test is a spy series, it does not take place in Denmark. Warning: Spoiler alert! It refers to a test scenario in which Simu's character, Alexander Halem must go through to prove his loyalty to the spy organisation, The Orphanage, that he works for. The show is set in the near future, where Alexander is an intelligence analyst whose mind is hacked and must figure out how to survive without being labeled a traitor.

Executive produced by James Wan, The Copenhagen Test also stars Simu Liu, Melissa Barrera, Sinclair Daniel, Brian d'Arcy James, Mark O'Brien, and Kathleen Chalfant. During an exclusive conversation with Zoom, co-showrunner Jennifer Yale told us about the future of the show. She shared, "It's an ongoing series. And as you watch the rest of the episodes and even the last episode again, you'll get all of the answers to the questions that you'll be asking throughout the season. But then we will open up the worlds and sort of give you more than what you've bargained for." All episodes of The Copenhagen Test are now streaming online. Simu Liu will next be seen in the Marvel superhero film Avengers: Doomsday in 2026.
