After Sonu Ke Titu Ki Sweety, Kartik Aaryan emerged as one of the bankable actors of Bollywood. Since then, the actor has featured in several Hindi films and delivered some big hits. Kartik was recently

seen in Sameer Vidwans' Tu Meri Main Tera Main Tera Tu Meri. Co-starring Ananya Panday, the romantic comedy was theatrically released on December 25, 2025. However, it opened to mixed reactions and received lukewarm response at the box office. That said, Kartik has an exciting line-up of films ahead. His upcoming set of movies include an untitled with Sreeleela, Naagzilla, and more. Read on to know!

Naagzilla

Starring Kartik in the lead role, Naagazilla is one of his most anticipated movies. Mrighdeep Singh Lamba has directed the supernatural fantasy comedy film. It was officially announced in April 2025. Written by Gautam Mehra, the film features Kartik as shape-shifting serpent. The movie will have a theatrical release on August 14, 2026. It coincides with Independence Day weekend and Naga Panchami.

Untitled film with Sreeleela

Apart from Naagzilla, Kartik has an untitled romantic drama with Sreeleela lined up. Directed by Anurag Basu, the romantic drama is reportedly titled Tu Meri Zindagi Hai. It was initially supposed to release on Diwali 2025. Produced by T-Series, the musical love story is now expected to release in May 2026. However, there's no confirmation from the makers yet.Earlier, in an interview with Mid-Day, Anurag clarified that there's no similarity between his musical love story and Mohit Suri's Saiyaara. "Mohit and I are very close. I’m happy for his film’s success. The only similarity in our films is that the male lead is a rockstar, and the story is about his journey," he said. Saiyaara featured Ahaan Panday and Aneet Padda in lead roles.

Captain India

In 2021, Kartik's Captain India was announced. The film was to be directed by Hansal Mehta while it was being produced by Ronnie Screwvala and Harman Baweja. Sharing the first poster of his movie on Instagram, Kartik penned, "When a man goes beyond the call of duty 🇮🇳 With great pride and honour, we bring to you CaptainIndia" The poster also had a text that read, "An ordinary man. An extraordinary mission."The film is now apparently being directed by Shimit Amin. He is reportedly planning to take the film on floors in the first half of 2026. "Shimit Amin has worked out a tight screenplay for Captain India, and is all set to take it on floors with Kartik Aaryan in the first half of 2026. When the filmmaker narrated the story to Kartik, the actor too was bowled over by the script. The duo is planning to shoot for Captain India in India and Morocco. In-fact, a team has already completed the recce in Morocco," a source told Pinkvilla.

Untitled film with Karan Johar

On Kartik's birthday in 2023, Karan Johar announced a new film with Kartik. The film was to be directed by Sandeep Modi. It was initially set to release in theatres on August 15, 2025. However, the movie's release has been delayed.

While making a the film announcement on Instagram, Karan wrote, "Kickstarting today with some special news on a special day!! Extremely thrilled to announce @dharmamovies and @balajimotionpictures coming together for a film helmed by the exceptionally talented @sandeipm. I find myself elated to also announce the supremely talented @kartikaaryan as our lead for this story that will unfold in cinemas on 15th August, 2025."The director further mentioned, "Kartik, happy birthday to you…may our collaboration only grow from strength to strength from hereon and never cease to create magic on the big screen ektarkapoor, being your friend is easily the best thing and now working with you will be no different!!!"

Kartik Aaryan's work front

Meanwhile, on the work front, Kartik featured in Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3 in 2024. The actor also essayed the role of India's first Paralympic gold medalist Murlikant Petkar, in Kabir Khan's Chandu Champion. And now, the actor has as many as four movies lined up for release.
