Dominic and the Ladies' Purse OTT Release: Mammootty's Much-Awaited Film Finally Set For Digital Debut

After months of speculation about the digital rights and streaming date of Malayalam superstar Mammootty’s Dominic and the Ladies Purse, tis finally set to release on a popular OTT Platform. Produced by

the actor’s home banner Mammootty Kampany and directed by Tamil filmmaker Gautham Vasudev Menon, in his Malayalam debut, released in cinemas on 23 January. The film opened to lukewarm reception from fans.

The film will premiere from 19th December 2025 on Zee 5. It comes nearly after a year after its theatrical release. Dominic and the Ladies' Purse follow the story of Dominic (Mammootty), a seasoned former police officer who has now stepped into the shoes of a private detective. What appears to be a routine assignment, tracing the owner of a misplaced ladies’ purse, moves into something far more sinister, pushing Dominic and his loyal aide Vignesh (Gokul Suresh) into a labyrinth of secrets, identities, and unexpected revelations.With its engaging blend of humour and emotional layers, the narrative promises audiences a unique take on the detective genre, set against a modern Malayalam cinema backdrop.

The film features a talented ensemble cast including Gokul Suresh, Sushmitha Bhat, Viji Venkatesh, Siddique, Vineeth, and Vijay Babu, each adding depth and intrigue to the unfolding investigation.Director Gautam Menon shared, “Making Dominic and the Ladies’ Purse have been a dream come true, it marks my first venture into Malayalam cinema.
