Veteran actor Rakesh Bedi has also been receiving praise from the audience for his performance as a Pakistani politician, Jameel Jamali. In a recent interview, Rakesh praised his Dhurandhar co-star Akshaye Khanna. He also mentioned that Akshaye was never out of the industry. Rakesh also spilled the beans about Dhurandhar 2, which is scheduled to be released on March 19, 2026.

Rakesh Bedi praises Akshaye Khanna

In an interview with Hindustan Times, Rakesh Bedi opened up about sharing screen space with Akshaye Khanna, who played the role of Rehman Dakait in Dhurandhar. The veteran actor stated that phenomenal performances like these happen once in a lifetime. Rakesh Bedi also clarified that he doesn’t agree with the claims of Akshaye Khanna coming back in the game of showbiz. Let us tell you, Akshaye and Rakesh did several scenes together in Dhurandhar. He said, “Akshaye was always in the game. He never left it. Uski and humari films lagti rehti hai, koi kam chalti hai, koi zyada chalti hai but it doesn't mean he was out of the industry.”

Rakesh Bedi compares the appreciation he got with Prabhas. He said that what Dhurandhar did for him is very much similar to what Baahubali did for Prabhas. He said, “Ye once in a lifetime hai success hai. Abhi aap dekhiye, jaise Baahubali thi. Bohot koshish ki lekin Prabhas ke liye to same dubara repeat nahi hua. Every actor-director waits for this kind of a wave in their career and sometimes many people don't get it ever. You cannot label this success. For example, you cannot categorise the success of Hollywood film Godfather.” When asked about the upcoming twist in Dhurandhar 2, Rakesh Bedi said, “Aage ki story kya hai wo to main bilkul nahi bataunga!” Talking about Dhurandhar, the film also stars Sanjay Dutt, R Madhavan, Arjun Rampal, Sara Arjun, Saumya Tandon, Danish Pandor, and others in pivotal roles.
