Dhurandhar has been receiving a lot of love from the masses. The film was released in theatres on December 5, and it has now inched closer to Rs 200 crore. While some sections of people are also criticising
the Aditya Dhar directorial by calling it a ‘propaganda film’, Anupam Kher has defended it and said that it is not high on jingoism. The veteran actor also praised the Ranveer Singh starrer in a video shared by him on Instagram.
Anupam Kher Reviews Dhurandhar
Anupam Kher watched Dhurandhar on Monday (December 8) and a couple of days later, he shared his thoughts on the same. In the video, Anupam praised Ranveer Singh, Akshaye Khanna, Sanjay Dutt and others’ performances in Dhurandhar. The Prem Ratan Dhan Payo actor also mentioned how beautifully Aditya Dhar crafted the story of unsung heroes of the country. Anupam Kher also revealed that he called Ranveer Singh and Akshaye Khanna after watching Dhurandhar. Both of them remained unavailable, but Aditya Dhar picked up Anupam’s call.
Anupam Kher mentioned that he called Aditya Dhar and told him, “Tumhare andar Mata aayi hai kya? Kya film banayi Hai. (Are you possessed? What a film you have made!).” Aditya laughed after Anupam Kher used such lines for him. Lastly, Anupam Kher mentioned that Dhurandhar was the title given by his late friend, Satish Kaushik, and he is happy that his name was mentioned in the credits.
