Kartik Aaryan is one of the most popular young actors we have in Bollywood at the moment. While he may have faced a minor box office setback with Tu Meri Main Tera Main Tera Tu Meri, but it has clearly

not slowed his momentum in the industry. The actor already has two big releases lined up this year and as per the latest buzz, he might have bagged a huge opportunity already! Kartik is in advanced discussions with Kill (2024) director Nikhil Nagesh Bhat for a distinctive action-adventure film rooted in Indian mythology. If the film materialises, it will be completely different from what Kartik has done till now.

Kartik Aaryan joins hands with Kill director

According to a report by Bollywood Hungama, Kartik Aaryan has been offered a 'one-of-a-kind film' by Nikhil Nagesh Bhat, the director of Kill. The project is said to be an action-adventure film which borrows from Indian mythology. The portal quoted a source as saying, "Kartik has been excited about this film as the subject is commercial, novel and has the potential to resonate with not just classes but also the masses. Moreover, Kartik enjoyed Nikhil’s Kill and feels that he is a director to watch out for."

The collaboration might happen sooner than expected as Kartik Aaryan and Nikhil Nagesh Bhat are already in advanced stages of discussion. Talking about the producer of the film, the same report quotes, "Both the actor and filmmaker are also having talks with a major studio to come on board to produce and finance the project. Even on this front, talks have reached advanced stages."

If finalised, the project could mark a significant shift for Kartik, because mythology is a genre that has recently gained renewed interest among Indian audiences.

Meanwhile, Kartik is also gearing up for two major releases slated for 2026. One of them is Naagzilla, where he plays a shape-shifting nag. The film is directed by Mrighdeep Singh Lamba of Fukrey fame and produced by Dharma Productions and Mahaveer Jain Films. His other release is an untitled musical saga directed by Anurag Basu, produced by T-Series, with Sreeleela paired opposite him. The film is expected to hit theatres in the second half of 2026.
