The day also saw a historic launch as the Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO) sent out the satellite aboard the LVM3-M5 rocket nicknamed Bahubali. The Telugu filmmaker SS Rajamouli sent out a congratulatory note for the space agency.

King first look and teaser out

On Shah Rukh Khan's 60th birthday, the first look of the superstar in the action film was released. The Siddharth Anand film featured the Pathaan and Jawan actor back in action. This time, SRK was sporting a salt-and-pepper look for the new film and raised intrigue about his character, King, holding a bloodied King of Hearts playing card. The 2026 film will also see Shah Rukh acting alongside his daughter Suhana for the first time.

On social media, the actor shared the teaser of the Hindi film and wrote, "Sau deshon mein badnaam, Duniya ne diya sirf ek hi naam - #KING. #KingTitleReveal. It’s Showtime! In Cinemas 2026." Besides the Khan father-daughter duo, King also features Deepika Padukone, Abhishek Bachchan, Anil Kapoor, and Jackie Shroff in its ensemble cast.

Shah Rukh Khan skips Mannat gathering, celebrates 60th birthday at fan meet

The superstar skipped an annual tradition of greeting fans outside his Mumbai home, Mannat, on his birthday. Shah Rukh Khan posted on X that he would be unable to come and wave to fans because of security reasons. Instead, the King actor celebrated his milestone birthday indoors with lucky fans at a special event.Shah Rukh answered questions, danced to his top hits, and cut a cake in front of delighted fans who came to cheer him on his special day. The event titled SRK Day was organised by fans to celebrate his 60th birthday. The star was casually dressed in a white denim jacket, black T-shirt, and denim jeans. His King look was covered by a dark beanie for the time being.

SS Rajamouli celebrates ISRO launch nicknamed after Bahubali

India's space agency, ISRO, launched a communication satellite, CMS-03, on the LVM3-M5 rocket, known popularly as Bahubali. The historic launch was held at the Satish Dhawan Space Centre in Sriharikota, Andhra Pradesh. Telugu filmmaker SS Rajamouli, whose film inspired the nickname, lauded the team for its achievement on social media. He wrote, "A proud moment for India showcasing our technological strength and self-reliance in space exploration. Onwards and upwards! Our entire Baahubali team is elated as @ISRO fondly named this rocket ‘Bahubali’.. Due to its heaviness and strength... Prasanth Varma releases official statement addressing HanuMan producer allegations

HanuMan filmmaker Prasanth Varma broke his silence and denied allegations from producer K Niranjan Reddy of taking Rs 20 crore in advance and not delivering films. Prasanth denied all claims and said they were “false, baseless, and retaliatory.” He informed the public, “The dispute between me and M/S Primeshow Entertainment Pvt. Ltd. is presently pending and under consideration before the Telugu Film Chamber/Telugu Film Directors' Association and is therefore sub-judice.”

Priyanka Chahar Choudhary announced as new Naagin in Naagin 7
