and entrepreneur Malaika Arora recently revealed that she and her son Arhaan Khan have very different views, as they are both part of different generations. The mother and son duo are more like friends and often talk about all sorts of topics candidly. But Malaika felt shocked after Arhaan told her not to expect any grandchildren because he would not be getting married. Arhaan is the only child of Malaika and actor-filmmaker Arbhaaz Khan; they divorced in 2017. Here's what she had to say to Arhaan about marriage and children.

Why Malaika Arora was shocked by son Arhaan's comment

During an interview with Times Entertainment, Malaika revealed that Arhaan often gives his mother advice. He keeps telling her to chill and unwind when things get hectic. However, a recent comment from Arhaan left her shocked and confused that they could have such different outlooks on the future. Arhaan told his mother that he is not going to get married and she should forget about having grandchildren. When she wondered why, he told her that he didn't want to bring children into a world with an AQI of 500 and above.

According to her, Arhaan said, "It's just not worth it." Meanwhile, as a mother, Malaika felt that Arhaan should experience all of life but in the end, as a supportive parent, she felt he should do whatever he wants to be happy.

Arhaan gives mother Malaika advice

As a member of Gen Z, Arhaan is usually laidback and Malaika shared that she has told him that she doesn't need his constant gyaan (advice). However, when they have heart-to-heart talks, the younger man usually makes perfect sense. She also shared that Arhaan introduced her to a Gen Z term called “lifemaxxing,” in which she has to live life to the fullest.

The 52-year-old former VJ is very close to her only child, Arhaan Khan, especially after her split with ex-husband Arbaaz. She and Arbaaz had gotten married in 1998 and announced their separation in March 2016. Arhaan Khan was born on November 9, 2002 and the couple was officially divorced on May 11, 2017.
