and his family quashed reports of his death. Dharmendra is 89 and will be turning 90 in December.

Dharmendra’s wife, Hema Malini, reacted to his death hoax and tweeted, “What is happening is unforgivable! How can responsible channels spread false news about a person who is responding to treatment and is recovering? This is being extremely disrespectful and irresponsible. Please give due respect to the family and its need for privacy.”

Esha Deol reacts to death news

Dharmendra and Hema Malini’s elder daughter, Esha Deol, also dismissed death news with a statement on Instagram that read, "THE MEDIA SEEMS TO BE IN OVERDRIVE AND SPREADING FALSE NEWS. Dharmendra, who will be next seen in Sriram Raghavan's Ikkis with Agastya Nanda and Simar Bhatia, was keeping unwell for the past couple of weeks. However, his and Sunny Deol's team confirmed that his previous hospitalisation was just a routine checkup. In a statement on Monday evening, Sunny's team clarified, "Mr. Dharmendra is stable and under observation. Further comments and updates will be shared as available. Kindly don’t indulge in spreading false rumours regarding his health . Request everyone to pray for his speedy recovery and respect the family’s right to privacy.
