Actor-producer Vin Diesel has shared an update on the next instalment of the Fast & Furious franchise, christened Fast Xi, and has promised that it will indeed be a grand finale. The film is reportedly
marking the end of the long-running franchise, at least for the actor, who plays Dominic Toretto. He has started connecting with the public again after a December lawsuit was filed against him by an ex-assistant, accusing him of sexual battery. However, he has denied the allegations, reports deadline.com. Now, Universal has officially dated the next F&F installment — now titled Fast Forever — for March 17, 2028.
Fast Forever Set To Release On Spring 2028
Taking to Instagram, Vin penned, "No one said the road would be easy… but it’s ours. One that has defined us and become our legacy… And a legacy… lasts forever. March 17th 2028! FAST FOREVER." Fans have flooded the comment section with heart eye and love emojis as they cannot keep calm anymore and are super excited for the new part of the franchise to drop.
Diesel known for his role as Dominic Toretto, celebrated the news on social media, posting a photo of himself with late co-star Paul Walker, who played Brian O’Conner in the films. Walker died in November 2013 while
Furious 7 was still in production.
