D.O. would miss Kim Woo-Bin and Shin Min-Ah's wedding

Fans were until now, anticipating that D.O. would sing a congratulatory song during Woobin and Minah's wedding. But D.O. has set the record straight. In an interview with SPOTV News on December 11, the idol admitted that he won't be able to make it on their big day, and the reason is work. "It breaks my heart, but I should make it up to (Kim) Woo Bin hyung even more," D.O. said."I originally thought for sure that I would sing the congratulatory song. I knew about the wedding well beforehand. The 'Melon Music Awards' schedule was fixed after that. So at the time, I went, 'How can I tell Woo Bin hyung?' Since it was something that just couldn't be helped. We were both super disappointed. The original plan was for me to sing 'Popcorn'. Now, I still don't know who is singing the congratulatory song. Once I was crossed off the list of potential guests, I was also erased from Woo Bin's sight," D.O. said.Woobin and Minah's wedding will happen at the Shilla Hotel in Seoul on December 20. On the same day, EXO is set to appear as a full group at the 2025 Melon Music Awards, which means D.O. would remain busy there and miss the wedding.

"It’s only natural. Work is important, and I also believe EXO has to come first. Even though it really pains me not to attend, I need to treat Woo-bin hyung even better. Hyung understands that there’s nothing I can do. Of course we’re both sad, but we completely understand each other, so it’s okay," D.O. added.

So how does D.O. plan to compensate for his absence? He shared that he'll make it up with a wonderful gift. "I’m thinking hard about what I should do after this. What should I give him? That’s what I’m worried about. I naturally assumed I would be the one singing the wedding song. I knew about hyung’s wedding plans early on. But then EXO got confirmed for MMA, so it wasn’t about choosing. There was simply no option but to do the award show. I worried a lot about how to tell him. We were both really disappointed. I was going to sing ‘Popcorn’ as the congratulatory song. I have no idea who’s singing it now. I’ve been excluded, removed from Woo Bin hyung’s line of sight," the singer-actor said.
