The Shiny Hunters asked Rockstar Games to pay a ransom if they didn't want the leaked data to be circulated online. However, their demands have not been met, and the group has already announced that they will be releasing a large collection of data, as their demands have not been met by the studio. Rockstar has already shared a response suggesting that the breached data consists of nothing but the marketing material of the game, and it will have zero impact on the launch date and other set timelines of the title. In retaliation, Shiny Hunters spoke to the BBC and said
they are all set to publish all the information as soon as the deadline by the group arrives, which is April 14, 2026. As of now, there are no details available regarding the data that Shiny Hunter possesses.
