Alpha new release date out?

As per a Bollywood Hungama report, Alia Bhatt and Sharvari's Alpha will now hit cinemas on July 3. A source told the portal that July 3 has emerged as a suitable date to release Alpha, as Dhamaal 4, which was scheduled to release on the same day, has now been pushed back to July 17. With no major films scheduled to release on July 3, producer Aditya Chopra feels that this is the right date to release Alpha.

Meanwhile, the portal quoted a trade expert, who pointed out that Christopher Nolan’s The Odyssey is slated to release alongside Dhamaal 4 on July 17. According to the expert, the shift gives Alpha a two-week window to enjoy an uninterrupted run at the box office, particularly because no major Bollywood release is currently scheduled for July 10.

The above mentioned portal earlier shared that the biggest surprise surrounding Alpha may well be its unconventional lead character. Trade chatter indicates that the film moves away from the classic spy template and instead centers on a deeply layered assassin whose choices exist in shades of grey. Bobby Deol stars as the primary antagonist, while Anil Kapoor reprises his War 2 role as Colonel Vikrant Kaul. Hrithik Roshan is also expected to appear in a special cameo as Major Kabir Dhaliwal.
