Ryan Coogler Confirms Return To Wakanda, Says He's 'Working Hard' On Black Panther 3

Black Panther 3 is in safe hands as Ryan Coogler is coming back to direct. While an official announcement has yet to be made by Marvel Studios, the filmmaker confirmed that he's working on the third film in the franchise.

At an industry event in Los Angeles for Oscar contender Sinners, Coogler told Deadline that he was gearing up for the third film. He said, "If it was anybody but you, I would say, ‘I can neither confirm or deny.' But we’re working on it hard. … Yeah, it’s the next movie.”The stage has already been set up for the third film, as Black Panther: Wakanda Forever ended with a surprise and Prince T’Challa (Divine Love Konadu-Sun) was introduced. He is the son of King T’Challa (the late Chadwick Boseman) and Nakia (Lupita Nyong’o), and the sequel also teased that "Black Panther will return." In the sequel, T'Challa's younger sister, Shuri, played by Letitia Wright, took over the role of the Black Panther.Earlier, Coogler had stated that he had a part ready for Oscar winner Denzel Washington in the third film. Chadwick Boseman to receive star on Hollywood Walk of Fame
On November 20, the late star of Black Panther, Chadwick Boseman, is set to receive a posthumous star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame. The actor died in 2020 at the age of 43, after a private battle with colon cancer. After his death, he was nominated for an Emmy Award and an Oscar for his performances in What If...? and Ma Rainey's Black Bottom, respectively.
