Khan is currently working on his upcoming film Battle Of Galwan, co-starring Chitrangada Singh in the lead role. Directed by Apoorva Lakhia, the film will be released on April 17, 2026. Amid the major buzz around it, Khan has shared an adorable video reel while listening to the song Matrabhumi from his film with niece Ayat and nephew Ahil. The post came as a Republic day tribute today (January 26). It is an emotionally charged track sung by Arijit Singh and Shreya Ghoshal.

He shared that the song naturally found its soul through the rhythm and raw intensity of army beats, which helped shape its powerful feel. Talking about teaming up with Arijit Singh and Shreya Ghoshal, Himesh called the collaboration special and close to his heart. Based on the true events, the film will highlight the 2020 clash between the two troops in the Galwan Valley. Produced by Salma Khan under the banner of Salman Khan Films, the film was set to clash with Alia Bhatt and Sharvari's Alpha on April 17. But it is reported that the makers of Alpha will be releasing a new release date soon.
