Parvathy Thiruvothu is stepping into a new avatar with her first police role in Pradhama Dhrishtya Kuttakkar. The Pooja ceremony of the film was held on 2 January Friday. Ahead of this, the makers shared the film’s title poster, which depicts a striking scene of a police officer’s leg stepping over a blood-stained surface, hinting at its intense crime-thriller tone. Directed by Shahad, known for Prakashan Parakkatte and Anuragam, the investigative thriller is set against the backdrop of a police station and marks Parvathy’s first cop role in Malayalam cinema. commencement, Parvathy tagged the director and posted "Here's to a great shoot for us, kudos to your determination." Jointly written by PS Subramaniam and Vijesh Thottingal, the film will be shot across Kottayam and Ernakulam. The cast features Vijayaraghavan and Mathew Thomas in key roles, with Sidharth Bharathan, Unnimaya Prasad, Azeez Nedumangad, and Vinay Forrt in supporting parts.
The technical team includes cinematographer Roby Varghese Raj, editor Chaman Chakko, composer Mujeeb Majeed, and action director Kalai Kingson. Pradhama Dhrishtya Kuttakkar is produced by Arjun Selva under the banner of 11 Icons Film Production. Previously, sharing the first look poster on Instagram, Parvathy wrote, “When the eyes deceive, who decides who the criminal is? Here’s the first look of Pradhama Dhrishtya Kuttakkar – a tale where perception itself can convict. ROLLING FROM DEC, 2025!” The poster was released at 11:11:11 AM, a nod to the production banner, 11 Icons. Cinematography is handled by Appu Prabhakar, known for Rekhachithram, while Chaman Chakko edits the film and Mujeeb Majeed, celebrated for Kishkindha Kaandam and the upcoming Kalamkaval, provides the music score. Parvathy, who recently wrapped Don Palathara’s upcoming film co-starring Dileesh Pothan, also has Nissam Basheer’s I, Nobody with Prithviraj Sukumaran and the Hindi web series Storm for Prime Video, produced by Hrithik Roshan, on in her kitty.
